5 Email Marketing Tips and Tricks

Email marketing

Email marketing is one of the most popular forms of reaching out to leads and potential clients in the least intrusive way. This is mostly because they can unsubscribe from your mailing list or place your mails in their spam folders, both way its subtle and you want to engage them with your business and not do any of the above, but rather you want them to look forward to your product mails and remain subscribed. So how do you accomplish all of this without appearing seemingly desperate for a sale? How do you get your leads to be attracted to your product? Here are 5 ways you can ensure your mail marketing strategy is as unique and fresh as your brand and keep your current clients loyal as well as attract new clients.

1. Know Your Audience

Your mailing list should consist of a number of people from all walks of life who are entirely different but with one thing in common, your product or service. Your research is your homework and you should be making sure you know what they want and how to broach this on their level. Understanding your database is the fundamentals of your email composition and will either attract them or get them to hit the delete button a sentence or two in.

2. Keep Your Emails Short

There is no need for long winded emails detailing every aspect of your product. You simply need to deliver your point within 100 to 200 words and make it as descriptive as possible in a light hearted manner drawing attention to the upbeat mode of your brand.
3. Enhance Your Subject Line
This is where you will grip your targeted audience, so you need to make your subject line count. Do not advertise in your subject line, rather be more straightforward and fun factual as you want your clients to reopen future mails, so this has to count!

4. Split Test Emails

One of the most important tips you could ever walk away with from email marketing is A/B split testing. This is a mail method of removing any queries from your email, allowing everything in the body of your mail to speak for itself to that there are no questions asked from the reader’s point of view. The testing advises on where your mail needs editing. What splitting does is separate your audience into groups to see which version of your email gets the best response. By testing all the possible versions of your mail, you can begin to identify which version will attract the majority of your audience.

5. Create A Dedicated Landing Page For Your Site

Your business will require a website and a landing page, otherwise known as home page, will be where your leads will come to should they have any queries or want to shop and find out more. This link should be included in all the mails you send out and should be a dedicated, descriptive home page for your audience.
Use these tips to market your emails and watch your business boom!
